The band was formed by two friends and colleagues – Robert Restle and Andreas Leinweber - who play drums and trumpet, respectively, in the Bundespolizeiorchester, München (Police Orchestra, Munich). The Coco Nut’s played as a duo around southern Germany for many years before deciding to take on their third band member, Uwe Rückert. Uwe is a good friend of both Robert and Andreas and likewise plays for the Bundespolizeiorchester. He’s the man on the baritone horn and also plays trombone, bass trumpet, percussion and the alphorn. The Coco Nut’s incredibly diverse repertoire spans over German easy listening, country, oldies, samba, rock, pop and even good old Bavarian and Styrian folk music, so the right mood is always guaranteed. The band plays a whole host of instruments – trumpet, trombone, flugelhorn, guitar, accordion, synthesizer, Styrian harmonica, keyboard, baritone horn, bass trumpet, percussion and even the alphorn (all live, of course). The Coco Nut’s are perfect for every kind of event, whether it be a birthday party, wedding, carnival ball, fair or gala. |
